More Rain

The water just keeps coming up the basement drain. I now have between 8-10 inches. It depends on where you stand in the basement.

I had some tubs with craft materials and my Halloween decorations and they were pushed over by the water and flipped upside down and were ruined. But, the most important tub with old tax papers and information about the store I owned were saved. No water or very little got in that one. When I went through it, my kids report cards and birth certificates were stored in it. I had been looking for my kids stuff forever. They will no longer be stored in the basement.

More rain coming tonight. I don't have it as bad a many. A family in Louisville had 8 feet of water in her basement. That much water would be on the main floor of my house.

When the water goes down, then the hard part starts. The clean-up.

At least I am home to take care of it.
