Another business in our former industry is calling it quits. I spoke with Donna Lawrence Downs tonight and she shared some sad news with me. As of December 31, 2009, Stage One Productions will no longer be in business. Stage One will continue to do shows, but will do so without those talented costume designers we all know and love.
Donna asked that I please keep an ear open for any positions that might work for her staff and I am asking the same for all of you. Yes, I realize that many of you are not working, but that is mostly by choice. Please let me know if you hear of something and I will pass the info on to Donna.
Donna doesn't really know what she is going to do. She has put some feelers out for teaching and has tossed around the idea of opening her own costume shop. She hasn't finalized anything because she still has some time to make a decision. I'll keep everyone posted as information updates.
