I thought I would let you know how we did at the Fair. Leila entered a watercolor and a sculpture and got an honorable mention (pink) ribbon on her sculpture. I entered a quilt, a Christmas stocking, and Holly's mermaid costume. I got a white ribbon on the stocking and a red on the costume. Leila said the competition was easy on the costume. Only 3 entrees, so we each took a ribbon. I still cost me more to enter than I won.
I've been staying busy working on my family tree on Ancestry.com. My sewing room is a mess with pictures everywhere. Ask Rusty, she's seen it.
I've been scanning pictures and sending them to my cousin, who is working on her tree also. We are sharing the work the one family line that we share. So far we have gotten back to the early 1700's. Every time I think I have everything I can get on a person, low and behold, there's someone on Ancestry that has more to offer. I don't think it ever quits.
I'll get back to my quilts when I get bored with this family stuff.
