Southern happenings

It was good to see everybody at lunch on Monday. I know I didn't get a chance to talk to everybody. We need to set up a system that you can't sit beside the same person two months in a row. Or maybe, just to annoy the servers, rotate seats every 15 minutes.

Dad was diagnosed with pneumonia at the end of July. He went in Tuesday for a procedure to run a scope down in the lung to get a better look. They wound up putting in a tube and draining 3 liters from the outside the lung. They took some blood and he goes back next week to get results. He said he can finally take a deep breath. He mowed the yard yesterday and is doing way better than he was.

Butch is back to driving and is the middle of his current round of chemo. There should be another MRI either this month or next month to see how things are going. He is buying parts to change the motor in his car and is planning to get started on it soon. His son in getting married in October.

I'm still talking to Todd about once or twice a week, depending on how his week goes. He came over to Gayle's on Sunday for dinner. We're not really dating, we're just talking on the phone and having fun. He's mentioned his mom has given her approval just in case we decide to get more serious. But I don't think we're ready for that yet.

Both girls are back in school. Katie is doing good. Bree's blending in well with her classmates this year.

I'm still sewing every chance I get. Right now I'm working on my outfit for my nephew's wedding which will also work for Christmas. I'm making jumpers for the girls and will make jumpers for them for Christmas. I'm making some box cushions for a friend of mine in E-town.

That's about it for now. When something exciting happens, I'll be sure to post it.
