Thanks for the birthday graphic. It was really cute!!! Didn't do anything very exciting for my birthday. I invited Todd(the new guy) over for fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. I made peanut butter pie for dessert. He must have liked the chicken--he had four pieces. He REALLY liked the pie.
My brother, Butch, is doing really good. He will finish his third week of this round of chemo. He is beginning to do more things on his own and I think this is really helping his mind set about beating this condition.
On to more somber news, Dad's sister was diagnosed with the same condition as my brother back in June. She has not reacted to treatment as well as Butch. She has gone through radiation and chemo. She has reacted to the chemo by bleeding internally. The doctors in E-town have done as much as they can for her, but still could not find the source of the bleeding. She has been transferred to Jewish Hospital late this week. She has multiple specialists working with her, but her prognosis does not look good. All of the kids have been called home. The family almost lost her about three times this week. She has put everything is God's hands and has accepted everything that will happen. I would appreciate any prayers that could be offered up for the Meredith family. Thank You

Becky I'm really glad things are working out for you and Toddkins. Watch out for "traffic"!
ReplyDeleteYou know Butch's success is all in his head (no pun intended). His positive attitude about his condition is the biggest reason he has had any progress.
Keep us posted on everything and we will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.
It's great that your brother is doing so well. Mark is definately right on the positive attitude. My sister-in-law's dad had a tumor they could not take out & had days or months to live. He loved life and didn't give up and had many happy years with his family. He always said it was because he had the Pope's doctor. The attitude is the reason Butch is getting better. We will keep you, him, and the rest of the family in thought and in prayers.
