Jim and I finally found time to go to his brothers, near Versailles, In. We hadn't been up to visit for over a year. My sister-in-law had a bad time last year. She caught her foot in a chuck hole in the back yard and when she got off her golf cart and took a very bad fall. Broke her wrist and ankle and because of health issues was not able to take regular pain meds. She just bit the bullet. She's doing fine now. She cooked up a storm for us. One of Jim's sisters and her husband live directly behind his brother so is was a lot of cooking.
We took little Holly with us. It was her first big road trip. Thank goodness for portable DVD players. She got to play with two 2nd cousins that she had never met. It took every bit of 10 minutes before the 3 of them were big pals. I was glad that she had such a great time.
We learned how to bowl on the Wii. My shoulder and neck are a little sore right now. Holly did much better than me. She had a least 4 to 5 strikes per game. I always came in last, but had fun anyway.
Only 21/2 weeks before school starts, but who's counting. She has had to sessions of swimming lessons and two sessions at ZOOCamp. The wheels on the van have been going, going, going. I was planning to take her to see G-Force this Thursday (we made that her reward day, if she has had a good week) but now I wonder whether to go or not after Markies assessment of it. No more 3D for me. I get a headache every time.
